There is something about dental clinics that incites fear in the hearts of many. One look at the dentist is enough to send shivers down your spine and engage your fight or flight response. Avoiding sugary drinks
Don’t drink sugary drinks. People who drink three or more sugary drinks per day have 60% more missing teeth and tooth decay than people who don’t. If you can’t bring yourself to put down the Big Gulp, make sure you cut back as much as you can to avoid doing damage to your teeth.

Brush your teeth
This is something that we all know, but it really needs to be said. Brush your teeth. Do it often. Taking a few minutes every day to clean your teeth will do wonders for them and is much less unpleasant than going to get teeth drilled out or pulled because they’re rotten.

Change your toothbrush
This one might not be as obvious. Not only do you need to use your toothbrush, but you need to change it often. Since toothbrushes can harbor germs and bacteria (especially depending on where you keep it in the bathroom) they really need to be replaced every three months. If you get sick, you need to replace your toothbrush then as well.
